Overview: How to Write an SEO Friendly Article

When I was very new to blogging I was in confusion about everything. I have done a lot of research on Digital Marketing and blogging. I have read a lot of successful bloggers testimonials and stories to inspire and motivate myself.

After a lot of reading, I finally learned the Digital Marketing terms and Concepts. There are several concepts in Digital Marketing.

These are the different concepts of Digital Marketing.

Now, in this article, we are going to learn about Blogging (Content Marketing). First of all, we have to understand what blogging is.

As you know everybody has an interest or a hobby. I don’t think that a human being is live on this earth without a hobby or interest. Means somebody loves to read books, somebody passionate to write and somebody wants to analyse the places, thoughts or persons. Like this everybody has their interests.

Coming to myself I love to read and write something about. That’s the reason I started to write the blogs. Now am writing this article on blogging.

What is Blogging?

Express and explore your interest and hobbies in a text format and publish it online is called blogging.

Coming to the online part, there are millions of websites online. You can find every piece of information about anything online.

When you want to write articles online, here you have to select which information you want to give your readers. Selecting the specific information or topic is called Niche in blogging.

Till now we came to know what are the Digital Marketing Concepts and What is Blogging?

Now, to start blogging on online you have to select a Niche means a topic. For example, my Niche is Digital Marketing so that I am writing and sharing information about Blogging. We will discuss more selecting a Niche in a different article later, for now, we will go through our title topic “How to Write SEO friendly article?”

What is an SEO?

Searching Engine Optimization (SEO) is a very popular term in Digital Marketing. We can say it is oxygen for a website or content. Why do we need to write an article which must be an SEO friendly? Why it is that much important?

As everybody knows Google is a search engine. On Google, we can search for any information, location, products, services, persons and whatnot, everything we can search for.

If you have a business, website or a blog and you want to see your website on the first three results on Google search engine. Then your SEO must be strong and the optimization of your website should be SEO friendly.

If you don’t have strong SEO for your website or business then your business will never find on Google search results.

Here SEO plays a vital role.

How to write strong SEO?

There are different types of SEO plugins.

Yoast SEO

SEMRush

Rank Math

Ahrefs

GSC (Google Search Console) etc.

These are the very popular SEO plugins used by different platforms. Whenever you buy a theme to build a website, you will get some of these plugins by default. If not, you have to install it separately. If you want a free version, they will provide free service with little features. You will enjoy a full version when you go for PRO (Buy) versions.

Now coming to our topic “How to write an SEO friendly article?”

After installing the plugin, you will find the options when you write a blog post. First of all, you have to write a topic heading, which must describe your article in a single line.

And this heading must be in H1 (Heading 1) option, it will take automatically when you write the text. Again remember heading must be related and describe the article.

After writing the main heading of the article you have to write H2 heading. After that, you can take H3 heading for all sub-headings. While writing the article you have to divide the content into paragraphs and headings.

According to your content divide the article text into H1, H2, H3 and paragraphs. You will find the tools to write a post on the posting page. If you never write H1, H2, H3 heading then this could be the not friendly article for SEO.

After completing the writing part of the article then you have to customize the text according to SEC rules. At the end of the article in the Yoast SEO, you will find the four tabs.

When you take this option to edit, you will find focus keyphrase heading with a bar where you have to enter keyphrase which can focus your article.

Here you have to enter the key phrase (nothing but the keyword in phrase form) related to your article. Below that you can find search-related keyphrases tab, if you press that tab you will be taken to SEMRush or the SEO tool, which could be a PRO version. There you have to give your email ID etc.,

After that, you have to go with Google Preview option.

Here you have to enter SEO title for the article and Slug which includes in your web URL. Here you have to take specific words which describes your article. Slug and keyphrase must be different, it helps your article to explore in different ways.

After that, you have to enter the Meta Description. Meta description means a small introduction or important points of your article. Here you have to enter limited text, because here in this tab every letter will be counted.  

Readability

In SEO friendly article readability means your article must be readable by the reader. It never is bored, clumsy, confused. Post content must be formatted in a readable manner.

If your content is readable then you will get emoji in green colour. If it is ok then you will find an orange colour if it is not ok it will be in red.

Here you’ve to take care of sentence length, tone, voice etc.,

Schema

It helps search engines understand your website and your content. In the latest updated version, you will be shown 2 options.

1. Page type

2. Article type

You can leave these 2 options set as default.

Social

In this option, you have to write a title and description for social platforms like Facebook and Twitter. And also you have an option to upload an image of the content if it is different from the featured image.

Here you can write the titles and upload the different images if you want for your article.

After entering all this information related to your post you now publish your article on your website.

Before publishing the article check all the information entered in the post.

And finally, publish it.
